Forbes is giving props to the ladies in its annual list of the 100 Most Powerful Women In The World. And while several obvious politicians make the cut — German Chancellor Angela Merkel is at #1, while former Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton and First Lady Michelle Obama are also in the Top 10 — “Drunk In Love” pop diva Beyonce soars in at #17, while sometimes-Voice coach Shakira makes an appearance at #58 and Reverse Warholian ARTPOP songbird Lady Gaga pops up at #67.

Forbes says the following of Beyonce:

The 32-year-old superstar capped off a banner year that included singing for the president, performing at the Super Bowl, and headlining the most profitable tour of the year by shocking the world with a surprise “visual album” in December.

Last year Gaga topped Forbes‘ separate list of Most Powerful Musicians, while Beyonce was the runner-up. Meanwhile, the publication, clearly smitten with Queen Bey, put her and husband Jay Z at the top of their 2012 Power Couples tally.

Do you think any of pop’s other leading ladies deserved to make the cut for this roundup of the world’s most powerful females? Let us know your thoughts below.

The World Cup Music Video Battle; Shakira Vs PitBull And Jennifer Lopez

It’s the battle of the best, most viral and most hip-shaking 2014 World Cup music videos — and it looks like Shakira is beating out Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez.

Last week, Shakira released “La La La (Brazil 2014) ft. Carlinhos Brown,” a Brazilian musician. The 2014 Fifa World Cup, of course, is happening in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It begins June 12.

In 7 days, the video (“La La La” is on Shakira’s new self-titled album) has racked up more than 43 million views.

Some of the eyeball fuel is probably coming from Shakira’s partnership with Activia to support the United Nations’ World Food Programme and its School Meals initiative. By donating $5 to the organization, Shakira will send an “exclusive thank you,” the site says; sharing the video itself also helps.

Meanwhile, on May 16, Pitbull posted the music video for the official 2014 World Cup song, “We Are One (Ole Ola).” It features Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte, a Brazilian pop singer.

The video is nearing 41 million views.

Both videos have hot men and women dancing, nods to soccer, plenty of drums and waving Brazilian flags. Shakira even shows off some of her soccer moves.

Rihanna Covers Vogue Beats Kim Kardashian To A Third Cover!

The top fashion magazine obviously can’t get enough of the always dynamic pop star instead of a famous reality star!

Sorry KimK: Rihanna covers Vogue Magazine for the third time

While Kim Kardashian is scrambling for a spot on Vogue Magazine, Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour just can’t get enough of pop starRihanna and her very dynamic fashion style for the March 2014 issue of the top class fashion mag. It’s a recorded third time the singer is gracing the prestigious cover.

Rihanna surprisingly skipped the skimpy clothing which usuallyexposes her boob, butt and tattoos to appear more chic, young and covered up! RiRi rocked the shoot looking fresh, elegant and as typical, edgy but no one is complaining.

The Caribbean queen goes back to the cute pixie cut seen in her November 2012 spread. Meanwhile, Vogue instead focused on giving her a look that ranged from casual chic to night on the town girl.

See RiRi in her element! Good or Bad?
